Vista, Calif. - Directed Electronics announced the availability of the SmartPark car-locating feature on its Viper SmartStart app.
The feature, which enables users to find exactly where they parked their cars, is activated by pressing the "Find My Car" button in the SmartStart app. SmartPark notes a vehicle's location every time the user presses the door-lock button in the Viper SmartStart app, the company said.
A map with walking directions back to the car's location is displayed.
"Users can also find their car using a great augmented reality feature we call SnakeEyes," said Kevin Duffy, president of Directed Electronics. "You just hold up your phone and a virtual view of your car keeps you pointed in the right direction.
