Dell Joins CES ‘Industry Insider’ Lineup

Las Vegas — Michael Dell, founder and chairman of Dell, will deliver an Industry Insider presentation at the 2006 International CES on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, at 2:30 p.m. at CES’ Innovations Plus at the Sands, a new venue for the show which highlights emerging technologies.

“Dell is a leader in meeting the technology needs of today’s consumers and businesses, from notebook and desktop systems to home networking, digital imaging, video and mobile entertainment, along with the service and support that customers need in today’s technology-driven world,” said Gary Shapiro, CEA’s president/CEO. “We are excited to welcome Michael back to CES to share his vision of the digital world.”

Dell joins Verizon CEO Ivan Seidenberg and Kodak president/CEO Antonio M. Perez as confirmed 2006 Industry Insider speakers. Other Industry Insider presentations include a one-on-one between Shapiro and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Kevin Martin and the Retail Power Panel featuring Brad Anderson, vice chairman/CEO of Best Buy; David Edmondson, president/CEO of RadioShack; Alan McCollough, chairman/CEO of CircuitCity; and Larry Mondry, CEO of CompUSA.

All 2006 Industry Insider presentations will take place at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in the Galileo room number 904. The Sands also is home to the all new Innovations Plus, which houses more than 500 emerging technology exhibitors, 75 conference sessions, the Innovations 2006 Design and Engineering Awards honorees, more than 12 TechZones and CES partner programs.
