Los Angeles – The Digital Entertainment Group (
) announced Tuesday the launch of a new
Blu-ray Disc promotional sweepstakes on Facebook sponsored by representatives
of the motion picture and consumer electronics industries.
The “Win Big with Blu-ray” challenge will leverage more than 100
Facebook pages hosted by the DEG in partnership with Bert Kreischer, host of
Travel Channel’s Bert The Conqueror.
Sweepstakes winners will be awarded a Blu-ray prize pack each
week, for 15 weeks.
The DEG said the purpose of the “Win Big with Blu-ray” campaign is
to educate movie lovers on the benefits of Blu-ray home entertainment.
Kreischer and the DEG created a trilogy of short videos promoting
the sweepstakes that will appear on participating partners’ Facebook pages.
Entry information is available on each of the participating
pages, along with videos.
Bonus points may be earned by commenting about the promotion for
a chance to win weekly prizes, including a new Blu-ray Disc player and 50 of
Hollywood’s hottest movies on Blu-ray.
The promotion is powered by Peer Squared, developers of the
ShareAndTell Pro social sweepstakes and rewards platform.

The sweepstakes will award a prize package each week beginning on
or about Nov. 2, 2011.
Users must be a continental U.S. resident over the age of 18 and
must have an existing Facebook account to enter.
