Anaheim, Calif. – BrandSource is creating a new Florida
region in an effort to better serve consumer electronics, furniture, floor
covering and appliance dealers.
With increasing opportunities in all categories, BrandSource
believes that now is the time to focus on opportunities within the Florida
market, the company said in a statement.
According to BrandSource CEO Bob Lawrence, “We believe that
furniture, consumer electronics and floor covering retailers in Florida have
been underserved. With our expertise in these categories, including appliances,
we believe now is a great time to create a base with retailers in Florida. This
way, as the economy improves, BrandSource is positioned to be the dominant home
furnishings retail entity”.
Currently BrandSource has 4,500 members in North America,
covering all home furnishings categories. BrandSource said this enables the
member-owned buying group and its retailers one-stop shops to effectively
compete against the chains and box stores.
