Belkin has introduced a line of ETL-Verified CAT-6a cables and accessories designed to enable 10Gbps connectivity throughout a structured cabling system.
The solution links 10GBase-T networking equipment using CAT-6a patch cords, patch panels, keystones and bulk cabling.
Belkin’s CAT-6a end-to-end solutions pass all TIA/EIA-568-B.2-10 requirements in both “channel” and “permanent link” configurations, including alien crosstalk, return loss, insertion loss, propagation delay and delay skew, according to the company.
The Belkin CAT-6a line includes patch cables in various lengths from 1 foot to 25 feet; bulk cables in 1,000-foot reels; stranded CM and solid CMR cables in aqua, black and gray; and keystones and patch panels
All SKUs in the line are compliant to TIA/EIA-568-B.2-10 and ISO/IEC 11801 specs and meet all alien crosstalk reduction specifications.
The line is tested to exceed 500MHz.
CAT-6a copper patch cables feature gold-plated contacts and molded “snagless” connectors to ease installation and protect connector tabs from damage
All SKUs are backward-compatible with CAT-5e and CAT-6
The line will become available in November in the U.S.
