Quebec –
has developed a free iPhone/iPod
Touch app that lets salespeople and installers match Bassworx-manufactured
enclosures with different brands and models of subwoofers.
The Bassworx
Matrix app, available on iTunes, does not need to access the Internet to make a
match. The app, based on the company’s
, incorporates the company’s database of subwoofers on the market.
The company’s
intent is to “make it easier [and] more convenient for the salesperson to have
access to the tool by putting the information right in the palm of their hand,”
said GM Neil Willard. “In some instances, it could be somewhat cumbersome to
walk a customer over to a terminal to use the Internet in store.”
The app will find
the right Bassworx enclosure for a given subwoofer driver and the right
subwoofer for a given Bassworx enclosure.
With the tool, the
company said, “We’ve proven that you don’t need a custom enclosure to get
maximum bass.”
Bassworx also
markets car audio speakers, subwoofers and amplifiers.
