Architectural Digest Show Shines Light On Luxury Market

If anyone knows luxury its the folks at Architectural Digest, who more than tens years have been featuring luxury furniture, lighting, kitchen and bath, decorative accessories and, more recently, major appliances, at its annual showcase in New York. It has become a must-attend for designers, decorators, retailers and consumers. Here’s a super-premium sampling of the highlights.

1 Miele’s powerful Black Wing ventilation hood prototype (center) operates quietly enough to justify its built-in amplifier and Bluetooth speaker pair.
2 BlueStar has added Greenery, Pantone’s 2017 “Color of the Year,” to its collection of over 750 color finishes that customers can choose from to customize their kitchens. Seen here, the company’s 36-inch pro-style freestanding gas range, starting at $8,395.
3 Jenn-Air, the luxury Whirlpool brand, has added Amazon’s Alexa to its smart-home lexicon via an over-the-air update to its Wi-Fi-connected, Nest-compliant wall ovens.
4 Fhiaba’s modular refrigerator, counter-depth wine cooler, and convertible bottom-mount freezer/refrigerator are hand-crafted in Italy and come with joining kit and unifying grill. Retails range from $6,000-$9,000 depending on the configuration.
