San Francisco — Zephyr has selected Almo to distribute its premium ventilation hoods within the Southeast and New England.
The deal is effective May 16.
Zephyr currently distributes directly in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah, and partners with national distributors to service its accounts across the balance of the country.
Zephyr’s Southeast and New England territories had previously been covered by Hadco, a major independent distributor that was acquired by Viking Range in February.
The addition of Zephyr increases Almo’s majap and CE roster to more than 85 brands, and is part of its specialty products initiative to distribute premium residential kitchen and outdoor appliances to the builder channel and leading dealers nationwide.
“We are thrilled about the partnership with Almo and the opportunity to grow the Zephyr brand in the Southeast and New England territories,” said Zephyr sales VP Dean Striler.
The announcement follows the recent appointments of Almo senior VPs Barry Cohen and Steve Terry. Both are Hadco veterans “who have already proven their success over the years with the Zephyr brand,” Striler said.
Founded in 1997, San Francisco-based Zephyr produces award-winning, high-design range hoods featuring DC-powered motors for quiet operation and enhanced performance and features.
