ADI Launches IP Point Roadshow

Melville, N.Y. — ADI has launched a training series to help educate dealers on the emerging IP market to help increase their offering and win new business.

Called the IP Point Roadshow, attendees will have the chance to participate in training seminars, interact with leading manufacturers, see product demonstrations and network with industry peers, ADI said.

The seminars, which kicked off in Toronto earlier this month, will visit New York, Seattle and Greensboro, N.C., in the next few months.

ADI said with the need for network-based security systems becoming more prominent and users transitioning from analog to digital technology, dealers have “an unprecedented opportunity to grow their business with IP solutions.”

The IP Point Roadshow brings together leading IP manufacturers and is designed to help dealers learn first-hand how to use IP technology to grow their market position and better prepare their companies for growth. The one-day events feature training seminars to increase technical expertise, and an open exhibit floor gives dealers a chance to spend time with manufacturers, ask questions and participate in product demonstrations, ADI said.

Training seminars range from introductory to advanced-level courses covering topics that include IP cameras, total cost of ownership, IP video, access control, sales, server basics and other topics, the distributor said.

ADI also said it recently released its 2009-2010 IP Solutions catalog that features a comprehensive listing of IP solutions across several product categories, training, vendor information and more.

ADI is a leading global wholesale distributor of security and low-voltage products, with more than 200 branch locations in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, Europe, Africa and India.
