San Jose, Calif. - Acer expanded
its Iconia tablet PC line today with the addition of a 7-inch model.
The Iconia Tab A100 is the first 7-inch model in Acer's line. It runs the Android 3.2 operating system and has Wi-Fi connectivity.
The A100 is shipping now in the United States and will hit Canada next month. The 16GB has a $349 suggested retail price, while the 8GB model comes in at $329.
The A100 uses an Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor with 1GB of memory, has 720p video playback with the ability to play video for more than four hours. It has a microSD and micro USB ports.
