About a year after it started testing free in-home tech consults in a handful of markets, Best Buy has taken the concept nationwide. Starting yesterday, an army of In-Home Advisors will now be on call to visit homes near about 90 percent of the retailer’s stores. The announcement, made by CEO Hubert Joly during an earnings call, added an even greater sheen to the once downtrodden chain, which reported a surprisingly strong second quarter.
