The on-again, off-again marriage between Sprint and T-Mobile appears to be a go, with an egagement announcement set for October. Under the plan, T-Mobile parent Deutsche Telekom would hold a majority stake in the new No. 3 carrier and T-Mo’s outspoken CEO John Legere would run it, pending regualtory approval.
T-Mobile US Inc is close to agreeing tentative terms on a deal to merge with Sprint Corp , people familiar with the matter said on Friday, a major breakthrough in efforts to merge the third and fourth largest U.S. wireless carriers.
