For several years Apple has had a proprietary machine that helps its retail repair teams replace cracked iPhone screens without losing touch functionality. Now, as eight states bear down on Apple to share the repair wealth, the company is offering its so-called “Horizon Machine” to other chains, beginning with Best Buy.
“Hey Siri, where can I get my cracked iPhone screen fixed? Apple Inc(AAPL.O) customers will soon have more choices as the company looks to reduce long wait times for iPhone repairs at its retail stores.”
