Apple Lures Amazon Fire TV Head Timothy Twerdahl To Head Apple TV

Both the Apple TV and the Fire TV occupy the “Small But Mighty” segment in each company’s overall growth strategy. While not the most revenue-generating product for either manufacturer, both Apple and Amazon have indicated a commitment to developing a future in video.

“Apple Inc. has hired Timothy D. Twerdahl, the former head of Inc.’s Fire TV unit, as a vice president in charge of Apple TV product marketing and shifted the executive who previously held the job to a spot negotiating media content deals.”
