Former Panasonic sales manager Kirk McIlraith has joined the ranks of Sharp Electronics Marketing Co. of America (SEMCA) as national accounts sales director.
In his new role, reporting to sales and marketing senior VP Peter Weedfald, McIlraith will be responsible for expanding Sharp’s business relationships with national retailers for the company’s full line of home appliances, including microwave ovens, SuperSteam+ combination ovens and Plasmacluster air purifiers, among other products.

“Kirk brings over 25 years of highly effective sales leadership to Sharp,” Weedfeld said in a statement. “His extensive experience and knowledge will help us further accelerate our market potential and best serve our valuable customers.”
Indeed, prior to joining Sharp McIlraith managed all national and regional account relationships as national sales director for electronics manufacturer Fuhu, and spent 15 years at Panasonic where he held various sales management positions including national accounts manager and product category specialist.
His appointment follows the April additions of sales director Todd MacGregor and regional account manager Jae H. Park to Sharp’s growing sales team, and reflects the company’s burgeoning home appliance focus.
