Optoma Technology has appointed David Wung president, Americas.
Wung, who was most recently product management VP at Asus, will be tasked with furthering the company’s vision and goals in the A/V category, as well as its commitment to bringing affordable projection products to the mainstream consumer and pro A/V customer, Optoma said.
The position was previously held by Robert Sterzing.
“Optoma, as the second largest projector manufacturer in the U.S. today, as well as a growing audio player, has a strong value proposition that has led to its strength: making quality A/V products more affordable and mainstream,” Wung said in a statement. “I plan to bring my experience of taking quality products to a larger market and audience, as well as innovating at the road-map level to ensure we stay ahead of the competition to meet customer needs.”
