FedEx To Drop Express Domestic Delivery For Amazon.com

Amazon.com represents 1.3% of total FedEx revenue

FedEx announced their decision to not renew their FedEx Express U.S. domestic contract with Amazon.com, Inc. in a recent statement on June 7, 2019. The contract with Amazon.com currently represents only 1.3 percent of total FedEx revenue based on the 12-month period ending on December 31, 2018. FedEx’s decision to end the Express U.S. domestic contract does not impact any other existing business units or international services with Amazon.com.

As part of an effort to expand its own domestic delivery service, Amazon announced in May it would fund up to $10,000 of start-up costs for current U.S. Amazon employees looking to start their own business as a Delivery Service Partner.
