Ed Mas Named President Of Voxx Automotive

Tasked with exploring opportunities in electric and autonomous vehicles

Edward D. Mas has been named president of Voxx Automotive, a division of Voxx International.

The move is a promotion for Mas, who’s been Voxx Automotive executive VP for four years. Ludwig Geis, formerly of Voxx Hirschmann, previously held the position, and it has remained open since the sale of Hirschmann to TE Connectivity last June.

“Ed is a seasoned industry veteran with a proven record of success in product development, manufacturing, financial management, operations and bringing out the best in people,” said Pat Lavelle, Voxx International president/ CEO, in a statement. “This well-deserved promotion reflects our faith in Ed to take Voxx Automotive to the next level in terms of innovation, market leadership and overall business performance. It also serves as a clear signal to the automotive market and our customers of our heightened commitment to deliver brand-enhancing products and systems.”

Mas has also held positions with Invision Automotive Systems and Panasonic Automotive Systems.

One of Mas’ first tasks will be to discover and design operational and sales synergies to drive growth and enhance efficiencies throughout operations, said the company.

Said Mas: “I look forward to identifying and maximizing opportunities in areas like electric vehicles and autonomous cars, to name just two, [which] can come about through collaboration between our OEM and aftermarket teams.”
