Columbia, Md. – HD Radio developer iBiquity Digital hired James Stocks as retail marketing director, responsible for retail product launches, promotions, and point-of-purchase materials.
Stocks was sales VP for MyerEmco, the retail chain that that specializes in high-end audio/video products and installation. Before that, he was general manager of mobile electronics dealer Dominion Radio Supply in Richmond, Va.
Stocks “will work with our retail and manufacturing partners to build HD Radio technology’s presence at retail,” said Bernie Sapienza, iBiquity’s VP of retail business development.
More than 1,600 HD Radio stations are on the air in the U.S. and of them, more than 700 FM stations multicast two or more programs simultaneously, the company said.
