– Qualcomm’s FLO TV, the subscription video service for portable and car
electronics, will now include programming from the ABC Television Network and
Disney Channel.
FLO TV said it reached a deal with The Walt Disney Company, which
will give FLO TV users access to ABC Mobile channel shows such as “Grey’s
Anatomy” and “Desperate Housewives,” as well as “Ugly Betty” and “Lost.” The
Disney Channel will run a simulcast on FLO TV, airing shows including “Hannah
Montana,” “Wizards of Waverly Place,” “The Suite Life on Deck,” “Jonas” and
full-length films.
FLO TV’s mobile service also includes content from CBS, CBS
College Sports, CBS News, CNBC, Comedy Central, ESPN, ESPNEWS, ESPN 2, FOX, FOX
News, FOX Sports, Fuel, MSNBC, MTV, NBC, NBC2Go, NBC News, NBC Sports,
Nickelodeon, SoapNet and SpeedESPN MobileTV.
FLO TV is currently available on select mobile phones and in a
made by HTC, as well as
starting in 14 days through expediters (dealers
that sell to car dealerships) and through consumer electronics retailers in 45
days, said Audiovox.
