Panasonic Kicks Off U.S. Open Sweepstakes

Secaucus, N.J. –

Panasonic

said Tuesday it will build on its official HD 3D technology sponsorship status
for this year’s U.S. Open by kicking off the Panasonic Experience Amazing
Sweepstakes.

The sweepstakes, which is currently underway through Aug. 6, will
award one U.S. consumer a grand-prize trip for two to the 2011 U.S. Open finals
weekend at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing
Meadows, New York.

The winner will also receive a Panasonic FullHD 3D home entertainment
system including a Viera FullHD 3D plasma TV.

The grand-prize winner will receive a four-day/three night trip
for two to New York, tickets to the U.S. Open men’s singles semifinals and
women’s singles final on Sept. 10 and the men’s singles final on Sept. 11. The
3D home entertainment system added as part of the prize will include a Viera
GT30 50-inch FullHD 3D plasma TV (TC-P50GT30), a Panasonic 3D Blu-ray Disc home
theater system (SC-BTT770) and two pairs of Panasonic active-shutter 3D eyewear
(TY-EW3D10U).

 Last year, Panasonic
partnered with DirecTV and CBS Sports to deliver the first-ever 3D broadcasts
of U.S. Open matches including the men’s and women’s singles finals.

Panasonic said the sweepstakes is the first of many exciting
consumer promotions and initiatives that will be launched by Panasonic
surrounding the 2011 U.S. Open.
