JVC Mobile Launches 5th Viral-Video Campaign

Chatsworth, Calif.
– JVC Mobile Entertainment launched its fifth annual online viral-video
campaign to promote its brand with the launch today of the first in a series of
three “rockumentary-style” videos starring the band Halestorm.

The series follows
the band on the road for its 2012 touring cycle to promote its new album. Each
installment will feature JVC navigation-multimedia receivers with iPhone app
integration in a Ford Shelby GT 500 Supersnake.

The first of three planned video episodes

launched today, and they will be featured on JVC’s high-definition JVC video
billboard in Times Square in New York City.

The online video
promotion will be backed by an ad campaign that includes online banner ads, video
content placement, social-media integration and concert tour promotion.

For the Turn Me On
promotion, “we wanted to break the mold and do something dramatically
different,” said Chad Vogelsong, JVC Mobile’s marketing GM. The
behind-the-scenes rockumentary-style videos show the band “creating and
performing music on the road and creates the ‘turn me on’ connection between
music, driving and how it makes you feel as a music fan,” he said.

The first chapter
focuses on Halestorm’s tour preparations and features band member interviews
that include their childhood musical aspirations and their experiences in the
band. The video will follow the band as they kick off their tour at the
Earthday Birthday festival in Orlando, Fla., where live performances will be
documented.

The on-the-road
shoots will take place at key on-location stops throughout the year and will
include exclusive interviews with band members and fans.

The second
chapter, due in the summer, will capture Halestorm on tour. The final chapter
is due in the fall.

For the third
consecutive year, online site EgoTv will be the exclusive online distribution
network for the campaign. Users will be able to grab embedded codes and site
links from

www.egotv.com/turnmeon

to spread the video around the web. The page will also include an email opt-in
area to capture JVC Mobile fan emails, links to technology partner sites, and a
Locate Now button to take users to the Dealer Locator page on JVC Mobile’s
website. Fans will also be able to link to iTunes to buy Halestorm’s albums, as
well as to keep up to date on tour dates and other info.
