CE Antiques Roadshow

No, I am not referring to certain members of the TWICE staff.

I’m referring to the treasure trove of CE-industry artifacts that have accumulated in my attic over the years and are looking for a new home. I thought I’d bypass eBay and offer them direct to interested industry members.

Let me know if you’re interested in these gems:

–a 1983 CD sampler disc from Polygram in a jewel box bearing a sticker that says “PolyGram commemorates 1983 U.S. launch plans of its Compact Disc, CES ’83.” Tracks include “Fame” by Irene Cara, “Funkytown” by Lipps, “Hurts So Good” by John Cougar, “It’s Hard to be Humble” by Mac Davis, and something classical (“Star Wars-Main Title”).

–a second-generation ’90s-era BlackBerry, which lacks cellular voice and operated on the RAM or Ardis mobile-data networks. (I don’t remember which.)  Original packaging and accessories included.

–a 1989 Nokia Mobira Oy analog cellphone, bigger than a brick. It made the rounds at grammar-school show-and-tells.

–a Sanyo home 8-track player and recorder. Meatloaf and Linda Ronstadt tapes included!

–and assorted dead and near-dead media, including pre-recorded and blank MiniDiscs and DCC (Digital Compact Cassette) tapes and an HD DVD disc. All unused. Suitable for show-and-tells.
