ROSEN AV8900H DIGITAL HEADREST MONITORS PRODUCE BIGGER, BETTER PICTURES FOR REAR SEAT PASSENGERS

CORONA, CA – (October 26, 2015)Rosen Electronics today unveiled its new AV8900H Digital Headrest Monitors, an all-in-one rear seat entertainment system with built-in dual DVD drives and large high-resolution 8-inch monitors that produce superior picture quality.  Unique to the system and a first in the industry, the system’s processor passes video signals from the media player to the monitors in digital form producing pictures at much higher quality.  The model features a variety of audio/video inputs including dual HDMI connections, micro SD card slot, aux in, and a USB port that enable users to plug in various forms of media at the same time, all quickly accessible through the individual displays. In addition, the system incorporates capacitive touch buttons for increased sensitivity and an easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI).  The AV8900H will be on display for demonstration in the Rosen Electronics booth #11817 throughout the 2015 SEMA Show from November 3-6.

“We’ve engineered the Rosen AV8900H from the ground up incorporating features that consumers today demand including larger 8-inch displays and the flexibility to connect their personal devices, whether that’s a smartphone, a portable player with HDMI output, or an external hard drive,” said Curt Kucera, general manager of display integration, AAMP of America.  “This is the most advanced headrest system we’ve ever offered and our customers and end-users alike will see the difference in its performance and picture quality.”

Picture Quality and Performance Difference

Designed to produce the best picture quality possible, the AV8900H’s design passes video signals from a connected source (HDMI/SD card/USB) to the video monitors in digital form.  The video stays in its digital state without having to be converted into analog which dramatically degrades the quality of the picture.  The system’s ability to deliver video signals digitally produces brighter, clearer, and more accurate pictures, higher quality than other headrest monitors in the market.   Furthermore, the high resolution output combined with larger 8-inch LCD displays (800 X 480) significantly reduces viewing fatigue often associated with low resolution screens.

Convenient Inputs

The AV8900H offers an array of inputs handled by the systems true multimedia processor, including dual HDMI ports, micro SD slot, and a USB connection which can support high capacity media storage devices.  The incorporated HDMI ports enable connectivity to smartphones (with MHL to HDMI adapter) and WiFi streaming media products (when available) such as Google Chromecast®, ROKU Stick®, Amazon Fire TV Stick®, and more.  Its dedicated USB port can be used with large capacity flash, thumb, or hard drives (up to 1TB) with full 1080P file format support.  The USB connection has an output power rating of 2.5 amps, capable of charging today’s most popular devices.

For increased installation flexibility, the system includes a 1.5 meter HDMI and USB extension cable giving installers the freedom to place the connection where they’re convenient for passengers.

Additional features

·         Controllability from both integrated displays
