Grant Hancock has joined the senior management ranks of Howard’s TV & Appliance with his promotion this week to merchandising and marketing VP.
Hancock had previously served the L.A.-area big-box chain as a buyer and marketing manager.
In a memo to vendors, Howard’s president/CEO John Wilkerson noted that the promotion had the unanimous support of the board. “We are confident that Grant will continue to contribute significantly — and even more so now — as an officer of our company … as we chart our course to establish Howard’s as the dominant leader in our marketplace,” he wrote.
The employee-owned business, started as a radio repair shop in the back of a sporting goods store in 1946 by Howard Roach, ranks 88th on TWICE’s Top 100 CE Retailers Report and 26th on our Top 50 Major Appliance Retailers Report.
Today, the 12-superstore CE and appliance chain is expanding into new categories, such as bedding and premium appliances, and is planning new locations throughout greater L.A.
