Sprint To Carry ZTE Smart Projector

Overland Park, Kan. — Sprint announced it will carry ZTE’s pocket projector and mobile hot spot, which it is calling the Sprint LivePro.

The device, which first debuted at International CES in January, combines a mini projector with a 10-inch to 10-foot projection display and 3G/4G LTE mobile hot spot. It measures 4.7 inches by 4.7 inches by 1.1 inch.

Features include a 4-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, 3.5mm input and Android 4.2. The 5,000 mAh lithium-ion battery can also be used as a power bank to charge a device via USB. Users can share content via HDMI or USB cables, or they can wirelessly mirror a smartphone or tablet display using Wi-Fi Miracast.

The LivePro will be powered by the Sprint Spark network where available, and can also support up to eight Wi-Fi-enabled devices simultaneously. Sprint plans to offer it through its stores, direct-ship channels and on its website for 24 monthly payments of $18.75.

Sprint mobile broadband data plans for LivePro start at $34.99 per month for 3GB of combined 3G/4G data while on the Sprint network, the carrier said. Customers can choose the $49.99 plan with 6GB of combined 3G/4G data or $79.99 plan with 12GB of 3G/4G data.
