Verizon’s Seidenberg To Keynote 2011 CES

Arlington, Va. – Ivan
Seidenberg, Verizon CEO, will deliver the opening keynote address at the 2011
International CES.

CES will be held Jan.
6-9, 2011, in Las Vegas. Seidenberg’s keynote is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on
Thursday, Jan. 6, in the Hilton Center.

“Ivan is a terrific
leader who has positioned Verizon as a top global provider of communications,
information and entertainment across a wide variety of platforms,” said Gary
Shapiro, president and CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association, which
produces CES.

 “Verizon embraces innovation and its vast
broadband networks touch all facets of the technology ecosystem. We are pleased
to welcome Ivan to the CES stage for his debut keynote and look forward to
hearing the vision for Verizon’s next generation of products and services,”
Shapiro said.

Seidenberg, who is also
chairman of Verizon’s board, has led Verizon since its inception in 2000
following the merger of Bell Atlantic and GTE.
