Samsung Unveils Camera Trio At IFA Show

Berlin, Germany - Samsung used IFA 2011 to unveil three new
digital cameras highlighted by the MV800 ultra-compact DualView point &
shoot with a 3-inch flip-out LCD touchscreen.

Also introduced were the 20.3-megapixel NX200 next-generation
mirrorless interchangeable lens compact system camera and the 12.5-megapixel
WB750 long-zoom point-and-shoot with up to an 18x optical and 24x digital zoom
reach.

Pricing and availability on the cameras will be announced later.

The highlight of the MV800 camera is its capacitive touchscreen
technology in the DualView concept, which places built-in monitors on both the
front and the back of the camera.

The rear-mounted 3-inch wide flip-out touchscreen LCD tilts up
and down for shot framing flexibility. The camera body features an
ultra-slender design and contemporary metallic finish.

The MV800 includes a 16.1-megapixel CCD image sensor, and 5x
optical zoom starting at a 26mm wide-angle focal length.

Camera settings are easily input through the new Smart Touch
interface. Users can drag and scroll through menu options to launch the
required feature with only one touch.

A Live Panorama function, enables easy photography of large
groups by holding down the shutter button, then previewing the whole scene
that's being captured, via the LCD.

The camera also allows playback of 3D images when connected to a
3D compatible TV display.

A Magic Frame feature includes 12 background templates, as well
as the ability for users to customize their own.

A picture-in-picture function lets users insert one image into another.

Also include are Smart Filter allowing 14 artistic effects, and a
built-in Pose Guide function advises users how to best get into position with
line drawings on the LCD screen.

The camera will capture HD movies in 720p/30fps H.264 format.

The NX200 compact system camera expands the capabilities of the
first-generation NX compact interchangeable lens cameras with a 20.3-megapixel
APS-C CMOS sensor and other premium features such as high-speed continuous
shooting (7fps (max) with 100ms Advanced Auto Focus), wide range ISO
(100-12,800), Full HD movie recording, and Samsung's i-Function lens.

The camera also features a wide range ISO (100-12800, covering
seven stops), 1920-by-1080/30p (H.264) HD movie recording with stereo sound,
and a sleek, compact body design with a premium metal finish.

The camera features 10 different Smart Filter effects, six of
which can be accessed through the i-Function lenses and Magic Frame technology.

It includes a 3-inch VGA AMOLED smart panel display that enables
users to switch to key functions without the need to scroll through menus.

The new Panorama function allows shooting 3D scenes.

The WB750 camera features a a proprietary 12.5-megapixel Back
Side Illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor, an 18x optical zoom with 24x Smart Zoom
technology.

It can capture stills at up to 10 frames per second in high-speed
continuous mode.

Video is captured in Full HD 1080p/30fps resolution. The camera
is capable of simultaneously shooting both 1080p HD video and up to 10-megapixel
photos.

The camera's Creative Movie Maker feature allows creating movie
clips in Full HD quality, complete with a range of creative special effects, in
the camera.

A Panorama features offers a range of creative shooting modes
including: Action Panorama that tracks a moving person or object with a static
background, Live Panorama function that allows users to easily capture large
groups of people by holding down the shutter button and sweeping the camera
across the scene, and 3D Panorama, which uses one lens to capture 3D images
that can be played back on 3D-compatible TVs.

Also included is a High Dynamic Range (HDR) function, for merging
multiple exposures for dramatic image effects, and Smart Auto 2.0 that automatically
selects the most appropriate setting from a choice of 16 still-image modes and
four movie-clip settings.

The camera includes Magic Frame with Frame templates for Wall
Art, Old Film, Ripple, Full Moon, Old Record, Magazine, Holiday, and Classic TV,
and intelligent face tracking, which automatically recognizes, follows and
focuses upon a person's face when they start to move.
