Livio Adds Internet Radio To Any Car

9/14/2011 04:22:29 PM Eastern

Ferndale, Mich. -- Livio Radio,
the supplier of tabletop Internet radios and Internet radio car kits, has
launched a Bluetooth-enabled car kit that adds Internet radio streaming to any
vehicle's sound system.

 The $119-suggested Bluetooth Internet Radio
Car Kit, available at Amazon.com and Livio's web site, uses an iPhone loaded
with a Livio app as its Internet radio source. Internet radio streams are
transmitted via stereo Bluetooth from the phone to a controller mounted on a
gooseneck stalk that plugs into a car's cigarette lighter for power. From the
controller, the music is streamed via FM to the car's head unit.

The Livio app, available on Apple's App Store,
streams more than 45,000 radio stations from around the world.

Besides using the phone to
control Internet radio functions, users can also use the kit's controller to
control app functions wirelessly via Bluetooth. From the controller, users can
launch the app, skip
between presets,
control play/pause, tag a song to download it from iTunes directly to the
phone, and hit a swipe button to get the app to recommend a similar station.
