Scottsdale, Ariz. — David Xiong, 44, has been named new GoVideo CEO, replacing Sean Wang who was filling the role on interim basis while also serving as GoVideo’s chairman.
Xiong is charged with executing GoVideo’s long-term strategies while integrating more closely with the parent company, TCL Corporation, said Wang.
Xiong comes to GoVideo from Irdeto China, a subsidiary of Irdeto Access of the Netherlands, where he served as CEO. Before that, Xiong managed several high growth western companies in China, serving as managing director at Dell Computer, general manager of Comsat TTS and general manager of Glenayre Electronics.
Xiong started his career with AT&T in the United States in the mid-1980s and held positions in marketing, sales, global alliance, business development and regional management.
Xiong holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
