Gateway Intros Photo Jukebox

Irvine, Calif. — Gateway today introduced a new, higher capacity MP3 player with photo-display capability.

The Gateway MP3 Photo Jukebox, now shipping with a $249 suggested retail price, has a 6GB hard drive capable of storing 1,500 MP3 quality songs or 2,000 digital images and showing them on a color display. The wallet-sized device weighs 3.4 ounces and can be operated either with a replaceable or rechargeable battery.

Gateway is bundling the Napster To Go music service with the Jukebox giving users access to 1 million songs for $14.95 per month.

The player is being sold through Gateway’s direct channel as well as retailers.
