Gates, Barrett To Keynote 2005 International CES

ARLINGTON, VA. – Microsoft’s Bill Gates and Intel’s Craig Barrett have signed up for keynote slots at International CES, to be held in Las Vegas, Jan. 6 to 9, 2005.

Gates, chairman and chief software architect of Microsoft, will take his traditional spot with a Pre-Show Keynote Address on Wednesday, Jan. 5, at 6:30 p.m.

Barrett, CEO of Intel, who has been a CES keynoter before, will deliver the Opening Keynote Address on Thursday, Jan. 6 at 8:30 a.m.

Barrett’s speech will be preceded by State of the Industry addresses from Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of CEA, and CEA’s Chairman (to be elected in October). Both keynotes will take place in the Hilton Theater of the Las Vegas Hilton.

CES focuses on more than 20 product areas from more than 2,400 exhibitors spread throughout both the inside and outside of the Las VegasConvention Center, the Las Vegas Hilton, and the Alexis Park Resort. For more CES information, visit www.CESweb.org.
