Pomona, Calif. — Axion began shipping its new line of digital photo frames this month, joining a throng of competition in this once dormant market.
The entry level model (AXN-9700) is a 7-inch TFT LCD frame capable of holding 20 images in its internal memory. It supports JPEG picture viewing with photo rotation and accepts SD/MMC and Memory Stick memory alongside a USB cable for transferring photos stored on a PC. It will retail for a suggested $99.99.
The 8-inch AXN-9805M and 9-inch AXN-9900M build off the 9700 by offering the ability to play back MP3 music files while viewing photo slideshows. They will ship with a remote control and retail for a suggested $149 and $169, respectively.
Finally, the 10-inch AXN-9105M will offer MP3 support and MPEG-4 video playback. It will retail for a suggested retail of $229.
