Monster Builds In Voice Control To Its Headphones With MonsterTalk

Monster said voice-activated versions of its Elements, Clarity HD and iSport Freedom V2 Bluetooth headphones will become available later this month as part of its new MonsterkTalk sub-brand.

Price points will remain the same for the time being.

The audio manufacturer announced at CES in January that it had teamed with Speak Music to build Speak’s voice and AI technology into its headphones. When paired with the accompanying iOS and Android app, consumers can use Speak’s Melody voice assistant to skip tracks, adjust the volume, and tell the headphones which song or genre to play. They can also request to hear music based on their mood or activity.

Voice control can be used with locally stored music or such streaming services as Spotify Premium and iHeartRadio, with Tidal access on the way.

Monster founder Noel Lee noted in a statement that the market is moving toward voice as the new user interface.
