Arlington, Va. — U.S. Congressman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) will be honored for his support of technology innovation at the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) 11th annual Digital Patriots Dinner.
Goodlatte will be honored alongside Revolution chairman and CEO Steve Case. The Digital Patriots Dinner is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. Event registration is now open.
Goodlatte has long been a leader in Congress on a number of intellectual property and technology issues, said CEA. In addition to representing the Sixth Congressional District of Virginia, he also serves as Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, which has jurisdiction over core technology policy issues including patents, copyright, trademark law, antitrust matters and the Internet. Goodlatte is the sponsor of the Innovation Act, which takes steps to combat the ever increasing problem of abusive patent litigation, it added.

All proceeds from the Digital Patriots Dinner will be donated to the CEA Foundation, a public, national foundation affiliated with CEA that links seniors and people with disabilities with technologies to enhance their lives, and Girls Who Code, a national movement that aims to inspire, educate and equip girls with the computing skills to pursue 21st century opportunities.
In conjunction with the Digital Patriots Dinner, CES on the Hill returns to the nation’s capital on Wednesday, April 15. This invitation-only event produced provides policymakers the opportunity to interact with the innovators and products revolutionizing the way we live, work and play, said CEA.
