Arlington, Va. — The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) will honor Steve Case, Revolution chairman and CEO, at its upcoming 11th Annual Digital Patriots Dinner.
The Digital Patriots Dinner is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C.
Case will be recognized as a digital patriot for his long support of technology innovation, said CEA. He founded America Online (AOL) in 1985, which was the first Internet company to go public. Case currently serves as chairman and CEO of Revolution, a Washington-based investment firm he co-founded in 2005, where he partners with visionary entrepreneurs to build significant “built to last” new businesses, said CEA. Additional Digital Patriots Dinner honorees will be announced in the coming weeks.
All proceeds from the dinner will be donated to the CEA Foundation, a public, national foundation affiliated with CEA that links seniors and people with disabilities with technologies to enhance their lives, and Girls Who Code, a national movement that aims to inspire, educate and equip girls with the computing skills to pursue 21st century opportunities.
In conjunction with the Digital Patriots Dinner, CES on the Hill returns to the nation’s capital on Wednesday, April 15. This invitation-only event provides policymakers the opportunity to interact with the innovators and products revolutionizing the way we live, work and play, said CEA. Members of Congress, key Hill staff and top media will experience the innovative technologies at the center of today’s policy debates.
Registration for the dinner is now open. Registration for CES on the Hill will open on Tuesday, March 3.
