BrandSource Set For 2017 Summit

BrandSource, the $17 billion buying group, has lifted the veil for its upcoming Summit & Expo, being held March 5-8 the Orlando Marriott World Center in Orlando, Fla.

Attendees will have the opportunity to take part in educational seminars, lectures, booth exhibits and product training sessions, all designed to inform the buying group’s members of the latest industry tech and sales techniques. Seminars on the schedule include “Creating a High Performance Culture,” “Winning Moments That Matter,” and “Driving Business Innovation and Improvement.”

BrandSource CEO Jim Ristow will address the group, as will legendary football coach Steve Spurrier. Spurrier, who led the University of Florida Gators to a national championship in 1996, is scheduled to give a speech entitled “Doing Things That Have Never Been Done Before.”

Electrolux, GE, LG and Whirlpool will be on hand for product-training seminars and vendor/dealer roundtable discussions.

AVB TV, BrandSource’s new video content service, will also be at the event to work with members on personalized store videos.  As soon as the expo opens, the AVB TV crew will be located on the show floor in the AVB TV Studio and will be available to record individual custom store videos during show hours.

BrandSource’s Women in Business group will host GoDaddy global engagement and inclusion VP Katee Van Horn, who will educate the group on 2017 goal setting and staying motivated to have your “best year yet.” Meanwhile, the group’s Young Professionals group will be hosting a meeting on “Selling Smart by Understanding the Four Personality Types.”

Finally, the much-anticipated Stampede event will provide discounted specials to BrandSource members. This year’s expo will also feature a “Hot Show” focused on furniture deals.

For members looking forward to the social aspect, attendees can take part in the annual Butch DuBose Charity golf tournament, as well as the 5K Light the Night Glow Run, with all proceeds supporting Disabled American Veterans.
