Samsung Series 9 Ships

NEW YORK — Samsung released its
Series 9 ultraportable laptop on March

The Series 9, announced in January
at International CES, with Windows
7 Home Premium will carry a $1,649
suggested retail, while those running
Windows 7 Professional will be priced
at $1,699. The laptop will be carried by
Best Buy and Tiger Direct.

The laptop has a 13-inch display and
is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor.
It features 4GB of DDR3 memory
and has 128GB of solid-state storage. It
weighs in at 2.89 pounds.

In April, a version sporting an 11-inch
display will ship. It will use an Intel Core
i3 processor and have 2GB of DDR3
memory and a 64GB solid-state drive.
