Walmart last month began rolling out a series of new notebooks for the back-to-school selling season.
The first introduction, on July 26, was the $298 Compaq Presario notebook. Laptops from Hewlett-Packard, Dell and Toshiba will follow in August.
The Compaq model is the CQ60-419WM, and it features a 3GB of memory, 160GB hard drive and an 2.10 GHz AMD Sempron SI-42 processor.
In early August Walmart will start selling the HP Mini 110-131NR netbook. This will be followed in the middle of the month by the Toshiba L355-18.3. A Dell model featuring 4GB of memory and a 500GB hard drive will hit Walmart at the same time.
Pricing has not been announced.
