Bellevue, Wash. — T-Mobile plans to expand its Windows Phone 8 portfolio with the Nokia Lumia 521, which will be exclusive to the carrier and be positioned as an affordable 4G HSPA+21 model.
The device will be available sometime in May at an unannounced price through Walmart, Microsoft stores and other T-Mobile retail channels.
Positioned as an affordable model with high-end features, the Lumia 521 features 4-inch touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and 720p video capture, and Nokia-exclusive applications such as Nokia Music streaming, Maps and Transit navigation, and the like, T-Mobile said.
As displayed at February’s Mobile World Congress, the Lumia 521 also features 1GHz CPU and 800 by 480 display with 233 ppi.
