Germantown, Tenn. - Mega Group USA, the national buying group for independent furniture, mattress, majap and CE dealers, has added three staffers to support its warranty and field-service operations.
The new hires include Chad Burris, as assistant product protection manager, tasked with growing and developing the group’s extended-warranty program. Burris has a background in digital signage sales and served in Best Buy’s ambassador program, and reports to business services VP Mallory Parker. His duties also include national convention support, direct marketing, and dealer support and training.
Meanwhile, Mega has realigned its territories and added two new staffers to cover them. Myriam Pirtle Garrison has been named field market manager for Georgia and South Carolina, bringing a buying group background and 15 years in retail at Knoxville Wholesale.
Her new counterpart in Texas is Victor Bared, who comes to Mega with a mobile security background and wholesale experience at Electrolux. Bared is based in San Antonio and will lead the development of the Texas market in all Mega product categories.
“By reducing the territory sizes in our Southeast U.S. market, we will have more touches with our dealers and deliver even better support for business services,” explained Mega president Rick Bellows. “Assigning a specific manager to Texas will help us better manage the Southwest U.S and give us more manpower in the large, important state of Texas.”
