Coral Gables, Fla. — High-performance German camera maker Leica said Wednesday it recently opened a new Miami-area store at 372 Miracle Mile, in the heart of the shopping district, here.
Called the Leica Store Miami, the modern Euro-style venue features the full Leica photography and sport optics product portfolio. It first opened to the public Feb. 25, and will celebrate an official grand opening on March 21, followed by a series of educational workshops and lectures on March 22 and 23.
“Leica is excited to open its Miami location where we can now showcase inspiring photography and products in a city that is rich in art, culture and international business.” said Roland Wolff, Leica marketing and corporate retail VP. “Along with the Leica Store DC and Leica Store SoHo, this new location in Coral Gables is the newest addition to the network of locations dedicated to bringing the Leica products and lifestyle to a wider audience.”
The 2,200-square-foot location opened in conjunction with Dale Photo & Digital, of Fort Lauderdale.
Customers are able to experience the landmark products from the brand and photographic exhibits. In addition to the full regular product catalog, the location will also offer a variety of special-edition Leica products, including the Leica X2 Edition Paul Smith.

Leica stores and boutiques complement an extensive dealer network and serve to further grow the brand in North America. Leica Camera will continue to expand in 2013 with additional North America store locations.
