Avanquest Delivers New Legal Titles, Utilities

Software publisher Avanquest has started shipping two new titles under its My Software line, My Attorney and My WillCreator, and the company released updated versions of several of its utility programs.

My Attorney and WillCreator are designed for small business and home users interested in saving on legal fees by being able to self-produce up to 1,000 basic legal documents ranging from wills to real estate leases, said Christina Seelye, Avanquest’s president and CEO.

My Attorney is continuously updated through the Internet and its forms are legal in all 50 states. It carries a $39.95 suggested retail and is now available as either an electronic download from Avanquest and on store shelves at Comp-USA, Office Depot, OfficeMax and Staples.

WillCreator has a $29.95 suggested retail and is for those just interested in wills. It is also sold as part the My Attorney software suite.

Seelye also said the company has updated its professional line of computer maintenance utility titles System Suite 7 and Fix-It Utilities 7. The former, $49.95, ads a quick status screen for guiding the user through the software itself, plus Start-Up Commander that lets the PC owner optimize the computers start-up process, cutting down on boot-up time. A personal firewall is also included for the first time with System Suite 7. The Fix-It title’s functionality is included with the suite. It has a $39.95 suggested retail price.

Ryan Smith, product management director, said each of the individual programs included have been placed into the application in a modular fashion. This allows consumers to turn on only the programs they need.

For example, if a person is happy with his current antivirussoftware they can opt to leave it inoperable, while taking advantage of the title’s other utilities, he said.
