Origin Acoustics, the leading manufacturer of architectural audio is pleased to announce their agreement with LK Distributing, Inc. to co-distribute Amina Sound, the world’s leading manufacturer of invisible loudspeakers in the U.S. effective immediately.
Origin Acoustics will work in tandem with the existing North American distributor LK Distributing, Inc. to grow and support the brand. LK Distributing, Inc. will continue as the primary US warehouse for Amina Sound.
Amina Sound, founded in 1999 and based in Huntingdon, England, is the premium British loudspeaker specialists known for creating the world’s first plaster over invisible loudspeaker in 2001. With an increasing need for clean, clutter free integrated lifestyle-technology in both commercial and residential applications, the requirement for discreet, invisible audio solutions is in demand.
Amina’s technology interacts with the room, with extremely linear 180 x 180 degree all around dispersion characteristics that sets Amina Sound apart from the rest of the manufacturers. To make an invisible speaker is one thing, to do it well is the noteworthy part. With the invention of VPT (Vibrational Panel Technology), Amina has been able to take the common loudspeaker design and replace the cone with a flat panel. Instead of moving forwards and backwards visibly like a typical cone design, a VPT panel uses small vibrations to generate sound which can be heard but not seen. This allows for seamless integration of a loudspeaker into any wall, ceiling, or flat decorative panel with zero visual impact.
Amina offers two core-technologies to allow integration of invisible loudspeakers into any room, Edge and Mobius. Both products can be installed in either new or retrofit applications. Edge has been developed for quick and simple installations, where walls or ceilings are finished with just paint, wallpaper, or a thin veneer. If your installation calls for a premium finish over top of the speaker such as drywall compound, plaster, veneer or millwork , the Mobius series provides the perfect solution for a host of different finishes.
