LOWELL, Mass., July 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Jabra today announced a partnership with the Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA) to help Chicagoland running enthusiasts beat their best, whether by trimming time off their next road race, setting a new personal record (PR), or simply running an extra half mile after a long work day. As can be said for CARA’s mission, Jabra’s line of Sport Audio products, including the Jabra Sport Pulse Wireless earbuds with built-in heart rate monitor, is designed to enhance runners’ experience to take training to the next level.
As part of the partnership, Jabra products and brand ambassadors will augment CARA’s scheduled events, races, and training runs throughout the year, and the companies will co-exhibit at the Chicago VIP Marathon Experience on October 11. Additionally, Jabra’s products will help aid CARA members in their heart rate and interval training.
Jabra and CARA will also co-promote activities through social media, online and email marketing, social media, and community-based initiatives.
“This partnership is very exciting for us as we recognize Chicago as a hot bed of running in the U.S. and know that CARA has a very loyal and passionate community of runners,” says Karin Piscitelli, Director of Marketing, Jabra North America. “We view this opportunity to showcase the Jabra Sport Pulse, and our new Sports Audio products to be introduced later in the year, as a win-win as we hope to enable CARA members to ‘Beat their Best’ using our products and share their experiences via social media.”
“As the advocate for our Chicago area running community, CARA’s mission is to help runners achieve their peak performance and get to the finish line, whether competing or training to race,” said Ed Zylka, Executive Director of CARA. “Having this partnership with Jabra brings into our community, a company with a long history of technical innovation, and support for a break-through heart rate training product that leverages the flexibility and popularity of smartphones.”
The Jabra Sport Pulse Wireless earbuds are an all-in-one training solution, combining an in-ear biometric heart rate monitor, immersive Dolby® Digital sound and real-time voice coaching. Paired with the Jabra Sport Life app, the Sport Pulse helps inspire runners to beat their best performance. The Jabra Sport Pulse Wireless is available locally at Fleet Feet in Old Town, Lincoln Square, and South Loop.
