InFocus Adds Native 4K to its Jupiter Catalyst Display Wall Processor Family

High-performance, highly reliable processor drives Ultra HD video walls with native 4K and HD sources on every display

PORTLAND, Ore. – June 2, 2016 — InFocus today announced its Jupiter Catalyst 4K, the latest addition to the InFocus Jupiter Catalyst family of display wall processors. Catalyst 4K delivers razor-sharp ultra HD 4K resolution to every display on a video wall, offering exceptional performance within a cost-effective, space-efficient solution. Catalyst 4K will debut at InfoComm 2016 in Las Vegas at the InFocus booth #N1417.

Offering the best performance in its class, the InFocus Jupiter Catalyst 4K processor delivers bandwidth reaching 336 Gbps providing Ultra HD 4K resolution and high frame rates. Native 4K input and output decoding in addition to support for standard HD sources enables advanced visualization of multiple simultaneous, high-quality data and video feeds, delivering the detail that matters in the most demanding environments.

“With an install base in the tens of thousands, the Catalyst display wall processor family continues to drive new standards for processor performance and reliability,” said Brady O. Bruce, InFocus CMO. “Today, we are again exceeding customer expectations by introducing Ultra High Definition support with the same cost/performance focus that has made Catalyst the market leader for display wall processing.”

Shipping with the just-announced InFocus Jupiter Canvas 5.0 collaborative visualization software, the combined products offer seamless access to a consolidated, visually precise display of business intelligence in a user’s network. Canvas 5.0 manages sources including live streams from network cameras and mobile devices, application screens from PCs and real-time data feeds. Users can view, share and annotate on the live feeds with remote colleagues working on a range of different devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptop PCs, and desktop PCs, or in conference rooms equipped with InFocus Canvas Touch or CRS-4K display endpoints.

Space efficient yet scalable with support for up to four extension chassis, Catalyst 4K is ideal for display wall projects of any size – from control rooms to smaller conference rooms and executive office applications. It supports up to 28 4K sources, up to 56 HD sources and up to 12 4K displays, which can showcase up to 48 HD sources.
