Experience Ultra High-Resolution Entertainment at SXSW Brought to You by Sharp Electronics

Sharp Electronics will be bringing high resoltuion to the forefront of conversation at SXSW through several events at this year’s festival. 

First, Sharp will moderate a discussion on Monday, March 16 that explores the journey content takes on its way to becoming a high-resolution, dynamic film.  Joining Sharp will be leading picture quality and film industry experts from THX, RED, YouTube and the California Film Institute who will discus the resolution revolution ignited by 4K technology advancements in film and showcasing incredible 4K short films from the annual “Art of Amazing” 4K film competition.

In addition, Sharp has partnered with The Fader Fort presented by Converse, taking place during the 2015 SXSW Music Conference, to present the very first concert recorded and live streamed in 4K worldwide. Powered by Dell, Intel, RED Digital Cinema, and Sharp Electronics, with support from XI Media, Omega Broadcast and New Cinema, the live stream will allow music fans around the world to experience the live performances and exclusive interviews from top artists including Migos, Hudson Mohawke, Bleachers, and more in brilliant 4K resolution. The 4K livestream will premiere Tuesday, March 17 at a Dell preview event at The Fader Fort with performances from Passion Pit and Mew, followed by The Fader Fort Presented by Converse festivities starting Wednesday, March 18 and running through Saturday, March 21 in downtown Austin between 1:00 and 8:00 p.m. CST. All performances will be broadcast inside The Fader Fort on Sharp 4K Ultra HD LED Smart TVs and Dell technology, and streamed online at TheFADER.com/FORT.
