ProSource, the $4.5 billion specialty CE buying group, has forged an alliance with CI Edge, a leading buying organization for commercial integrators.

ProSource, the $4.5 billion specialty CE buying group, has forged an alliance with CI Edge, a leading buying organization for commercial integrators.

The move gives ProSource’s 500-plus dealers and custom integrators access to their new partner’s buying programs, training and member expertise, including joint educational sessions that began earlier this month.

“This alliance makes ProSource the only buying group in the industry that can serve both commercial and residential markets,” noted ProSource business development director Andy Orozco.

It also represents ProSource’s second partnership with another buying group in the last year, after forging informal ties with members of the NATM organization in 2014.

CI Edge, which serves small to midsized commercial integrators doing less than $10 million in business annually, will participate in ProSource’s Summit and Spring Meetings in early 2016.

“We are very excited about our alliance with an outstanding organization like ProSource and we look forward to working with them to bring CI Edge benefits to their members,” said CI Edge principal Chris Whitley.
