It’s gonna be a flat-panel Thanksgiving at hhgregg.
The 220-store appliance, CE and home furnishing chain has unveiled a deluge of discounted TVs in its 16-page Black Friday circular, which goes into effect online on Thanksgiving and in stores the following morning at 7 a.m.
Indeed, the insert’s first five pages are devoted to video, beginning with a pair of LG 4K Ultra HD LED TVs priced at $500 for the 55-inch (from $750) and $800 for the 65-inch model (from $1,200). They’re pared with a pair of ProScan sets: a 40-inch 1080p for $130 and a 55-inch 4K Ultra HD model for $300.
LG returns on p. 5 with a trio of 4K HDR Super UHD sets and half-off savings on two 4K OLED panels, priced at $2,000 for the 55-inch display and $3,000 for the 65-inch option. Both OLEDs are offered with 36-month financing and free delivery and basic installation.
But as we’ve seen throughout the Black Friday preview season, it’s Samsung that dominates the playing field with eight out of 23 models.
Other doorbusters include Amazon’s Fire 8GB tablet for $33.33; a Frigidaire four-piece stainless steel kitchen suite for $1,500, a $910 savings; and a Serta Perfect Sleeper queen mattress with Sertapedic adjustable base for $1,000.
As previously announced, all hhgregg locations will be closed for Thanksgiving, and to further reinforce the “family-first” vibe the company is giving each employee a holiday turkey, totaling more than 5,000 birds.
