D&H Hosts 5th Convergence Expo

D&H Distributing held its fifth annual Digital Convergence Expo here last month. Close to 500 customers attended the show which hosted 60 exhibiting vendors. A post-show attendance breakdown showed 55 percent of attendees included digital integrators and resellers, 35 percent were A/V installers and 10 percent retailers.

The Expo also featured 12 different education sessions in order to accommodate the show’s “largest trade show seminar schedule yet,” according to the company. The schedule featured a keynote address by CEA’s senior VP of industry relations, Todd Thibodeaux. Seminar highlights included “The Experience of Intel Viiv Technology” to give attendees information on the updated features on the Viiv 1.5 platform, and “Digital Home Business Strategy” seminars to help dealers and resellers to better understand the digital home market. Other seminars covered topics including marketing strategies, project management, digital signage, and differentiating one’s business.

“The point of our Expo is to identify those high-potential areas and set them out in front of our customers,” said Dan Schwab, D&H’s VP of marketing. “We’re thrilled at how the Digital Convergence Expo continues to mature and zero-in on more precise requirements in the market. Since the demand for digital home solutions shows signs of growing more sophisticated as time progresses, this event becomes more relevant every year.”
